Managed services from RedSky IT facilitate hotel group's expansion



Pedersen Hotels is a privately-owned hotel group of six, individually-styled hotels that all offer excellent, yet understated customer service. Following the group's acquisition of four new properties in just one year, it needed a reliable, electronic communications solution that would be able to cope with its planned future expansion and chose RedSky IT to provide it with a managed business service, based on Microsoft Exchange to support its 300 email accounts.

Clare Tidball, group revenue manager for Pedersen Hotels says: "Due to our rapid expansion and lack of in-house technical knowledge, we needed an IT company we could trust to explain what our options were and then guide us through the process. RedSky IT now manages and supports Pedersen Hotels' crucial means of communicating between properties. The managed service includes spam and virus protection, archiving, backup, remote access capabilities and hardware provision. It gives managers and staff at the hotels total peace of mind as they don't have to worry about email downtime and have a solution they can rely on for both internal communications and external electronic marketing. The service also complements the other business applications provided by RedSky IT which include the Entirety property management system in place at the Bromsgrove, the Regency Park, the Sheffield Park and the Winchester and the Kx sales and catering solution which manages the Bromsgrove's conference, wedding and catering facilities.

Clare Tidball says: "The managed service from RedSky IT handles any changes to email addresses within the group as part of our support and maintenance agreement. This is great for us as it means that we do not have to worry about setting up new staff accounts or deleting old ones and all of the hotels' day-to-day trouble shooting is all managed for us.
